Promasa Brownies

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup water
  • ¼ tsp Refisal Kosher Sea Salt
  • ⅔ cup Promasa Corn Flour
  • 4 eggs (small – medium)
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • ½ tsp instant coffee powder
  • 250g margarine
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup finely chopped pecans
  • Margarine for greasing pan
  • A little cocoa powder for dusting pan

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 ֯
  • Lightly grease a 9 inch square baking pan with margarine and dust with cocoa powder,

set aside.

  • In a large bowl, mix water, salt and corn flour and set aside.
  • In a separate large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar and coffee, set aside. Do not over beat.
  • In another separate large bowl, with an electric mixer, combine room temperature butter

and baking powder.

  • Add corn flour mixture and continue mixing for 1 minute to ensure everything is fully

combined.

  • Add in cocoa powder and egg mixture and mix until thoroughly incorporated.
  • Then add chocolate chips and fold in thoroughly with a spatula.
  • Pour batter into baking pan. 10. Sprinkle the top with finely chopped pecans.
  • Bake for 40-45 mins or until a probe (toothpick) comes out clean or if the batter rolls

between your fingers. Let cool and cut into one (1) inch pieces.

 

Notes:

  • For best results please follow the directions.
  • Do not bake too close to toaster oven element. This is to prevent uneven baking and

burning.

  • Allow brownie to cool thoroughly before cutting.
