Promasa Brownies
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup water
- ¼ tsp Refisal Kosher Sea Salt
- ⅔ cup Promasa Corn Flour
- 4 eggs (small – medium)
- 1½ cups sugar
- ½ tsp instant coffee powder
- 250g margarine
- 1tsp baking powder
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¼ cup finely chopped pecans
- Margarine for greasing pan
- A little cocoa powder for dusting pan
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 ֯
- Lightly grease a 9 inch square baking pan with margarine and dust with cocoa powder,
set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix water, salt and corn flour and set aside.
- In a separate large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar and coffee, set aside. Do not over beat.
- In another separate large bowl, with an electric mixer, combine room temperature butter
and baking powder.
- Add corn flour mixture and continue mixing for 1 minute to ensure everything is fully
combined.
- Add in cocoa powder and egg mixture and mix until thoroughly incorporated.
- Then add chocolate chips and fold in thoroughly with a spatula.
- Pour batter into baking pan. 10. Sprinkle the top with finely chopped pecans.
- Bake for 40-45 mins or until a probe (toothpick) comes out clean or if the batter rolls
between your fingers. Let cool and cut into one (1) inch pieces.
Notes:
- For best results please follow the directions.
- Do not bake too close to toaster oven element. This is to prevent uneven baking and
burning.
- Allow brownie to cool thoroughly before cutting.
